Course Details

“DIPLOMA IN HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT” is a Vocational Hospitality Qualification developed by Kings Hospitality College keeping in mind the adolescents and youths of a developing country like Nepal where majority seek short duration of studies and quick employment opportunities.

With this course, students gain moderate theoretical information and extensive practical knowledge of the Hospitality Industry in a short period of time and become industry ready in specific department.

COURSE COMPOSITION

This qualification is completed in 6 months duration covered in 3 parts:

  • Theory Classes of 7 Subjects
  • Practical Classes of 4 Subjects
  • Written and Practical Assessments

During the Theory and Practical Classes for 6 months in the institution, learners gain extensive practical and moderate theoretical knowledge to start off a career in Hospitality Industry. 

This course is marked for 36 Credit Hours and 700 Assessment Marks.

  1. Attendance – Min 80%
  2. Examination and Assessment
  3. Demonstration of practical skills

Examination and Assessments are conducted right after completion of Theoretical and Practical Classes.

On successful completion and passing of the term, learners are awarded with “Diploma in Hospitality Management”.

This program can be compared with any Internationally Benchmarked Level 3 Diploma in Hospitality Management Vocational Qualification.

Grading System
The overall achievement of each student will be measured by a final aggregate percentage of all subject and graded as follows:

  • 80% & above: Distinction
  • 60% to 79 % : Merit
  • 50% to 59%  : Pass
  • Below 50%    : Fail = Retake of assessment


Retake Policies
Students who fail an assessment are given chance to retake their assessment for 3 times for 2 years from the time of registration..
