Course Details

A Barista is a professional who makes and serves beverages such as coffee, tea and specialty beverages. They are responsible for taking customer orders and payments. They also clean and sanitize their work areas, seating areas and equipment/tools. Today’s barista are also required to have knowledge of complimenting food served along with the beverages.

Certificate in Barista skills is an intensive coffee making 30 days’ workshop course that provides learners with the basic skills and confidence to work as a barista in cafes and coffeeshops in Hotel and Restaurants. With the acquired skills, learners should be able to produce great-tasting coffee and effectively manage the department.

During the course,  students learn the basic theory of coffee making, origin of coffee and different types of coffee which are served globally. They also have the opportunity to practice making different types of coffee using the latest Commercial Espresso Coffee Machine.

This program in overall  helps fine tune the skills in espresso coffee making and café management so that one can progress to the more complex aspects of becoming a world class Barista.
